Pleasant River Wildlife Foundation is a land trust working to protect wildlife habitat on the Downeast Coast and committed to preserving traditional public access for residents and visitors. We currently own 25 properties totaling 1,888 acres with 9.3 miles of shorefront in four project areas -- Pleasant Bay, Lily Pond Meadows, Crowley Island and Mason Bay.

We currently work in close coordination with the Heads of the Estuaries Partenrship, a consortium of governmental agencies, regional conservation organizations and local land trusts engaged in a multi-year initiative to permanently protect 25 miles of high value coastal waterbird habitat extending from Gouldsboro Bay to Machias Bay.
