We are a guide service specializing in trophy Maine moose hunts. We provide the ultimate moose hunting experience by working diligently to ensure quality opportunities for our clients. We set up our canvas wall tents in the remote mountains of western Maine each October with the goal of harvesting only mature Boone and Crockett class bulls. While we also offer excellent hunts for other game such as deer, turkeys and upland game, moose are our primary focus.
Matthew is a registered Master Maine Guide and Life Member of the Maine Professional Guides Association working in the western mountains of Maine. Born and raised in this same area, he has an intimate knowledge of the habitat and various species of game that he guides for. Matthew grew up deer hunting in Franklin County, a pursuit he still enjoys each fall. He started guiding in 2001 and specializes in both trophy moose and turkey hunts. Matthew is also a former certified Hunter Safety Instructor who stresses having fun while being both safe and ethical.
Calling mature bull moose each fall to up close and personal encounters is a passion of this guide. Luring an animal that can weigh in excess of a thousand pounds to within yards of you, whether to photograph or to hunt, is an experience of a lifetime. Hunting moose in Maine is also a once in a lifetime occurrence for most people who are lucky enough to be drawn in Maine's moose hunting lottery. Anything to do with this states largest game animal is definitely of interest to Matthew.
Matthew also spends an extensive amount of time in the woods pursuing turkeys each Spring. Calling in large, long bearded toms is the constant focus of this guide in late April and May.
Matthew also offers a limited number of archery and rifle hunts for large whitetails in October and November. Western Maine has some great bucks and harvesting one of these trophies is a true accomplishment.
If you are coming to western Maine, and want to have a great hunting, sightseeing, or other outdoor experience, Matthew would love to show you what the western mountains of Maine have to offer.
