Lubec Brewing Company Updated:08/2019

Located in the easternmost town in the United States, and founded by Gale White in April 2015, the Lubec Brewing Company offers a taste of the distinctive assets of the area. Our beers are made with Organic Maine-grown barley, wheat and rye and our hops are organically grown in Aroostook County and by several local Washington County farmers. Our one barrel brew house is one of Maine’s smallest, but allows the flexibility to experiment and brew many different types of beer – all with a local twist. From Dorthy Blanch, our Belgian Blonde named after a Lubec-born Broadway performer, to Bailey’s Mistake black ale, named after a historic ship captain of some notoriety, to Johnson Bay IPA, commemorating our great source of scallops, to our Specialty Seasonal Beers such as our Spruce Tip beer named Kawatacup which is the Passamaquoddy word for Spruce Beer. Each of the 23 different beers brewed (so far) pay tribute to Lubec’s unique heritage and surroundings. Our Farm-to-Table restaurant serves dishes prepared with all organic ingredients that are locally sourced from area farms as much as possible.
