Cultivating Community Updated:10/2016

Cultivating Community’s mission is to make local, sustainably grown produce available to people in southern Maine regardless of income. We use our community food work as an engine for highimpact youth and community development programs that reconnect people to the natural and social systems that sustain us all.

What We Offer: Full shares for $450, or on a sliding scale from $0 up. Individual shares for low-income elders are also available. Members are expected to contribute at least 8 volunteer hours during the season. In addition to seasonal vegetables and herbs, your weekly share will include a newsletter containing recipes, news & other information. We farm sustainably using crop rotation & organic soil amendments. We do not use synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers.

How You Can Get It: We have many payment options and do everything we can to prevent income being a barrier to access to local, healthful foods. Payment plans, sliding scale fees, and food stamps are among the payment options. Pick up your share in Cape Elizabeth on Tuesday afternoons or in Portland on Friday afternoons.
