You could say that guiding is in my blood. Both of my parents are canoe guides and they actually met on river. My first trip was when I was one year old and I have been involved with it ever since. I received my guide license in 2006 and have been guiding canoe trips as my primary job since then. since the year 2000 I have also compete every spring in the MACKRO down river canoe races . Over the past few years I have been competing in the OC2 category with my good friend and fellow guide Dan Flammini. We have competed in two national championships so far and got second place last year!
Guiding Strengths (ie, white water, poling, fishing, cooking…..) :
I have to say that I am an expert when referring to white water. Due to my extensive canoe paddling and racing background, I have been looking at and breaking down white-water for more than a decade. Furthermore, I am good with a setting pole and good at teaching this technique. I have lernd how to pole from the very best, my father, Randy Cross who’s nick name is Madpoler. Fishing comes with the territory of growing up on rivers and my cooking has only gotten good reviews.
